Cayuga Health is seeking an RN Imaging Services Coordinator to oversee patient care across inpatient and outpatient imaging services at multiple Cayuga Medical Center locations. The role blends hands-on procedure nursing with patient care coordination, including pre-admission assessments, procedural support, and post-procedure follow-up.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Valid NYS RN License
• BLS, ACLS (can be obtained during orientation)

• Provide nursing care before, during and after completion of a special procedure; IV access, blood sampling, pre and post assessments, medication management, monitoring, patient education, patient mobility support, nursing interventions as needed to deliver individualized care.
• Respond to all clinical needs with the imaging departments of CHS Main Campus, East Campus and Cayuga Park.
• Serve as an outward facing representative of the Imaging Department with regard to ordering provider office communication.
• Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure education.

Registered Nurse – Imaging

The RN Imaging Services Coordinator is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating inpatient and outpatient imaging services across multiple Cayuga Medical Center locations. This dynamic role functions as both a procedure nurse and patient care coordinator, providing pre-admission assessments, procedural support, post-procedure care, and coordination between patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams. The position promotes high-quality patient care, ensures adherence to clinical standards, and may serve as a designated charge nurse.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain emergency readiness through daily, weekly and monthly emergency equipment checks. Equipment includes; Adult Crash Cart, Pediatric Broslow Cart, Narcotic Reversal Boxes, Contrast Reaction Boxes and emergency airway supplies in all patient care areas.
• Provide nursing care before, during and after completion of a special procedure; IV access, blood sampling, pre and post assessments, medication management, monitoring, patient education, patient mobility support, nursing interventions as needed to deliver individualized care.
• Respond to all clinical needs with the imaging departments of CHS Main Campus, East Campus and Cayuga Park.
• Serve as an outward facing representative of the Imaging Department with regard to ordering provider office communication.
• Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure education.

Required Skills and Experience

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Valid NYS RN License
• BLS, ACLS (can be obtained during orientation)

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous cardiac or critical care nursing experience

Physical Requirements

• Good dexterity and ability to stand in place for extended periods of time. Ability to move or lift patients with assistance.

Location, Travel and Shift Requirements

• Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center
• Less than 25% travel can be expected in this role

Per Diem Days Pay Range Disclosure: Standard Rate of $35.63 - $44.18
