Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Registered Nurse to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care within the inpatient setting. The nurse will deliver safe, high-quality care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Associate degree in nursing is required with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Licensure as an RN in SC or a compact state, BLS, and ACLS are mandatory. Sign-on bonus of $30,000 is available for qualified hires.

Minimum Training and Education

Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.

Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
