Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority is seeking a Registered Nurse I to deliver individualized patient care in the ICU setting, applying the nursing process to support families and patients. Under general supervision, you will collaborate with the health care team to ensure safe, effective care and positive outcomes.

Requirements include an Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), SC nursing license or compact state, current BLS, ACLS, and at least one year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Licensed as RN by SC Board of Nursing or compact state.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required.

Minimum Training and Education

Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
