Job summary

Duke University Health System’s Duke Primary Care-Family Medicine in Cary seeks to hire a Registered Nurse who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together.

Open to professional nursing care planning, documentation, and patient education, with emphasis on independent nursing activities under physician orders. This role requires BSN, NC RN license, BLS, and at least one year of RN experience; opportunities to contribute to preventive care and chronic disease management.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited BSN program.
• Current or compact NC RN licensure.
• BLS required.
• One year RN experience required for Level II.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, and document professional nursing care under physician orders and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Assist other healthcare personnel in patient care and maintain environment of care and equipment.
• Prioritize work and identify resources to complete care promptly.
• Engage in professional development and maintain competencies.
• Support development of staff and contribute to performance improvement activities.
• Perform related duties incidental to the work described herein.
