Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS often required.
• ONCC Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Certification for those administering chemo.
• Newly licensed RNs have 6 months to obtain ACLS and/or PALS; Fetal Monitoring certification recommended.
• Fetal Monitoring certification may be required or recommended per unit policy.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition; effectively delegates care to staff.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Provides education to patient and family appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
