Registered Nurse II - Hollings Cancer Center Infusion (PRN)

Join us as a Registered Nurse II - Hollings Cancer Center Infusion (PRN) at MUSC Health.

Job Description

The Infusion Nurse in Hollings Clinics reports to the Unit Manager. Under general supervision, the Infusion Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients, utilizing nursing principles and practices to deliver safe and effective care. The nurse interacts with other healthcare team members to achieve desired outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013, with an Associate or Diploma degree must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN within four years of hire or reclassification.
• Minimum of two years of RN work experience required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Current Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification by Oncology Nursing Society if independently double-checking chemotherapy.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors and outdoors, working from elevated areas, in confined spaces, and from kneeling positions. Ability to bend, twist, squat, pinch, grasp, manipulate, reach, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to see, hear, and maintain tactile and olfactory sensory functions. Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
