Qualifications

• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.
• RN license in Texas required; obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing residency.
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS required or to be obtained within specified timeframes.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 4 months.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessments and participate in patient exams and treatment planning.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and health care team.
• Educate patients and families; coach and mentor staff; support unit-based improvements.
• Contribute to a teamwork-focused environment and apply nursing standards of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
