Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks an RN II to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process and to collaborate with the health care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The position requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), SC RN licensure or compact state, BLS and ACLS certification, and the ability to perform 12-hour shifts on a 3-shift weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure by the South Carolina Board of Nursing (or compact state); BLS required; ACLS required.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and ability to stand for 12-hour shifts.

Minimum Training and Education

Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) also required.
