The Department of Mental Health in Worcester is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide care for adolescent patients. Candidates should have nursing experience and knowledge of emergency procedures. Full-Time and Part-Time options available with various shifts.
The Department of Mental Health (DMH) Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses who will direct and participate in the nursing care of adolescent patients on an inpatient unit following standards of care.
The selected candidates transcribes, administers and/or supervises administration of medication in accordance with standard practices and protocols. Maintains accurate records related to activities, meetings, groups, treatment plan schedules and all nursing assignments. Establishes and maintains a current nursing care plan and completes written assessment of nursing needs. Provides professional expertise and knowledge in carrying out emergency functions, all codes, and unexpected emergencies.
Our ideal applicants will have one (1) year of experience as a registered nurse and will combine the knowledge, clinical skills, and judgment necessary to perform all nursing procedures as outlined in the scope of practice.
Please Note: The available schedules vary. Full-Time and Part-Time options are available. Below is a breakdown of shifts, each shift has every other weekend off.
Employees in this position will be required to perform mandatory overtime.

About Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH): Located on over 20 acres in Worcester, Massachusetts, Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH) is part of an integrated network of effective, efficient, and culturally competent mental health services. It provides intermediate and long-term inpatient care for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness who live in Massachusetts, as well as individuals requiring specialized court ordered evaluations.
WRCH provides inpatient services to 290 adults and 30 adolescents, inclusive of a Deaf Inpatient Mental Health Service program for 10 patients.

Based on assignment, possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator's license may be required.Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate’s years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division’s Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non-management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range.
