Job summary

TriHealth's Bethesda Arrow Springs Medical Center in Lebanon, OH seeks a Registered Nurse for Emergency Room on a PRN/Optional Nights schedule. You’ll perform initial assessments, develop plans of care, and provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED environment.

The role requires an RN with an accredited nursing program, BLS, and ED/acute care experience; BSN within five years preferred. TriHealth offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.
  • New hires must obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire.
  • Current RN licensure and BLS/CPR certification required.
  • RN with 1–2 years of acute care experience and ED/ER exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.
  • Develop, communicate, and update individualized care plans including discharge planning.
  • Provide safe, patient-centered care respecting autonomy and dignity.
  • Recognize emergencies and take appropriate clinical actions.
  • Carry out physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete care and documentation within required timeframes.
  • Administer medications/treatments safely and perform skills per policy.
  • Evaluate responses and revise the care plan with the team.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to other team members.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and support staff education.

Work Schedule:
  • PRN/Optional Nights (12 hrs/week average)
  • 7:00pm - 7:30am
  • Rotating weekends and holidays

Job Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required
  • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
  • BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
  • Registered Nurse licensure
  • Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs a various stages of the life cycle
  • Preferred membership in related professional organization
  • RN experience of at least 1-2 years in acute care setting required
  • Previous experience in an ED/ER setting required
  • Preferred certification in specialty
