HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse ICU Stepdown to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the medical team.

You will assess patients on admission and during each shift, perform procedures, document care, administer medications, and stay current with cardiac and medical-surgical treatments. A strong commitment to safety and patient advocacy is essential, with vaccination in line with policy.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required within 60 months of start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 60 months of start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
• RN Diploma or an Associate Degree is acceptable for this role.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsabilités

• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document administration of care in the patient record in a timely, thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Registered Nurse, or Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
