Job Description

Humboldt Park Health has night shift openings in the ICU Unit. This position is nights only at this time.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan, provide, supervise, and document professional nursing care using the nursing process, in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
2. Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members to develop care plans ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
3. Document patient observations and activities in the electronic health record.
4. Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care, utilizing critical thinking, advocacy, and ethical practices.
5. Guide and supervise unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care.
6. Assess patient signs and symptoms, reporting changes to physicians.
7. Perform interventions based on priorities, care plans, infection control, and hospital standards.
8. Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
9. Educate patients and families about diagnosis, medications, and discharge instructions.
10. Collect blood specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.

Requirements:

• Current RN Licensure
• BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
