Registered Nurse, ICU

Our expanding system includes the Los Angeles campus, clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, and treatment centers in Atlanta, Chicago, and Phoenix.

The Successful Candidate:

1. Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents care for critically ill medical and surgical adolescent/adult patients.
2. Provides acute care according to protocols and assists with special procedures.
3. Supervises patient care partners and collaborates with the healthcare team.
4. Works with physicians to evaluate patient readiness for changes in care level. Cares for med-surg and telemetry patients as needed.
5. Recovers MAC local patients when PACU is unavailable.
6. Interprets and operates cardiac and other monitors, recognizes rhythms and trends, and institutes appropriate interventions.
7. Cares for patients with complex needs, including hemodynamically compromised and mechanically ventilated patients.
8. Initiates and maintains complex IV therapies, including thrombolytics, vasoactive medications, and central lines.
9. Uses life-support modalities such as BiPAP, ETCO2, arterial pressure monitors, and temperature monitors safely.
10. Availability to work from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Critical Care or Telemetry.
• Current Illinois RN License.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• OCN certification within 18 months of hire or ongoing CE in Oncology as per the Cancer Committee requirements.
