Job summary

Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, LA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to supervise daily nursing activities and ensure high-quality patient care. The RN will coordinate care using the Nursing Process and may provide direct care as needed.

The role reports to the Director/House Supervisor and requires Louisiana licensure, BLS, and ACLS within one year (PALS for ER/ICU/Med-Surg/Telemetry within 6 months).

Qualifications

• Associates of Nursing or higher required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 1 year; PALS within 6 months for ER/ICU/Med-Surg/Telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day functions of assigned nursing staff to ensure appropriate patient care.
• Coordinate care using the Nursing Process; may provide direct nursing care as needed.

Job description

Under the supervision of the Director/House Supervisor and/or Charge Nurse, the RN shall oversee day-today functions of assigned personnel to ensure that appropriate nursing care is provided to each patient in accordance with the assigned employees job description and competencies. The RN is responsible for managing the care of patients by direct caregiving or supervising other nursing personnel utilizing the Nursing Process. The RN may provide direct nursing care using the Nursing Process.

Education and Experience:

• Nursing Diploma, Associates of Science in Nursing, Bachelors of Science in Nursing, or Masters of Science in Nursing
• Licensed in the State of Louisiana or Privilege to Practice with license in primary state of residence.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• ACLS within one year of employment
• PALS within 6 months of orientation for Emergency Room, ICU, Med-Surg/Telemetry departments
