Job summary

Ascension St John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Surgical ICU. This full-time daytime role emphasizes direct patient care, care-plan leadership, and seamless collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

You will coordinate care, monitor patient outcomes, and support safe discharge planning within a high-standard ICU setting.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Oklahoma.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire.
• Diploma from accredited nursing school or equivalent licensure at hire.

• Champion Patient Well-being: Deliver personalized, direct nursing care that adheres to the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence, ensuring every patient feels supported and respected.
• Drive Care Excellence: Take the lead in implementing, continuously monitoring, and adjusting comprehensive patient care plans to achieve optimal health outcomes.
• Coordinate Holistic Care: Act as the central point of contact and primary coordinator for an interdisciplinary team, seamlessly integrating efforts to provide truly well-coordinated and continuous patient care.
• Ensure Seamless Transitions: Proactively assess patient discharge planning needs and partner with the healthcare team to coordinate smooth, safe, and effective transitions of care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
