Job Summary

We seek an ICU (RN) to ensure high-quality, efficient care. Join our supportive team and apply now!

Position Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Meet Standards of Practice for the Neuro Trauma ICU and manage staff, supplies, and equipment.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Respond to Code Blue and perform life-saving measures per ACLS.
• Interpret EKG rhythms and evaluate 12-lead EKGs.
• Monitor and titrate IV medications as ordered.
• Continuously assess patients based on acuity.
• Assist physicians with procedures like thoracentesis, chest tube insertion, and vascular access.
• Charge the unit as needed.
• Caring for critically ill medical or surgical patients.

Position Requirements

• At least 1 year ICU experience required.
• Current Texas or compact state RN license.
• BCLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• CCRN certification preferred within two years.
• NIHSS certification within three months, maintained every two years if already certified.
• 8 hours of acute stroke education annually.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of start.
• Basic Life Support within 30 days of start.
