Qualifications

Role Overview: This position involves leading and coordinating nursing staff in a clinical unit to ensure quality patient care and achievement of clinical objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing and support staff during shifts, including performance evaluations.
• Assesses patient care needs, develops and distributes care assignments, and collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care, addresses issues impacting outcomes, and responds to care-related complaints.
• Participates in hiring, training, and staff development activities.
• Maintains safety awareness and performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
• At least one year of registered nurse experience.
• Current BLS certification and RN licensure in applicable states (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin) with relevant licensing requirements.

Physical & Professional Requirements:

Constant speech, standing, walking, frequent lifting (0-25 lbs), sitting, reaching, and vision use; occasional heavier lifting (25-50 lbs), patient movement, bending, and driving. Ability to recognize odors and hear alarms is essential.
