Job summary

Plymouth Hospital is seeking a Critical Care Nurse for a contracted 8-week assignment on a 12-hour night shift with rotating weekends and holidays. The unit is a 14-bed Critical Care Center with 24-hour intensivist coverage, serving adult and geriatric patients with medical and/or surgical conditions.

Requirements include Massachusetts RN license, ACLS, AHABLS, and at least 2 years ICU experience with ventilator management, vasoactive/titration skills, and hemodynamic monitoring.

Qualifications

• ACLS and AHABLS certifications required.

Critical Care Nurse - Contract Position

Shift Details

• Contract guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly on all assignments – guaranteed hours exclude any on-call time worked.
• 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
• Start date: 11/30 only.
• 8-week assignment duration.
• No holiday requests off; no more than 3 days requested time off (RTO) allowed.
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application.

Unit Description

The Critical Care Center is a 14-bed unit providing 24-hour intensivist coverage. It serves adult and geriatric patients with medical and/or surgical conditions.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission.
• Current ACLS and AHABLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience with demonstrated competency in:

• Ventilator management
• Vasoactive and sedation titration
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Cardiac dysrhythmia recognition and management
• Post-STEMI care

Continuing education evidence preferred; CCRN certification is a plus.

Additional Information

Pass/fail testing for telemetry/ECG and medications will be administered prior to acceptance. Please ensure strong candidates are submitted.

Local candidates accepted at a rate lower than travel rate.
