Job summary

Valleywise Health seeks an ICU Nurse to provide high-acuity care to critically ill patients, utilizing advanced monitoring and evidence-based practices. You will stabilize patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced ICU environment.

The role requires a valid AZ RN license (or compact), BLS and ACLS on hire, NIHSS within 6 months, and TNCC/ATCN/TCAR within 12 months, with CCRN preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher.
• Must complete Valleywise Health New Graduate RN training program or have prior acute nursing experience.
• Must possess a current AZ RN license, or a valid compact/licensure for the state of practice.
• BLS required; ACLS upon hire; NIHSS within 6 months; TNCC/ATCN/TCAR within 12 months.
• CCRN is preferred.

Valleywise Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse to join our team of healthcare professionals. As an ICU Nurse, you will provide specialized, high-acuity care to critically ill patients, utilizing advanced monitoring techniques, life-saving interventions, and evidence-based practices. You will play a key role in stabilizing patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Strongly prefer those with ICU experience.

Hourly Pay Rate: $34.15 - $50.37

Qualifications

Education

• Prefer a bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing.

Experience

• Must successfully complete the Valleywise Health New Graduate RN training program or have prior acute nursing experience demonstrating an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Previous acute care hospital experience in the area he or she is applying for is preferred.

Certification/Licensure

• Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, a temporary AZ RN license, or avalid compact RN licensure for the current state of practice.
• Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
• Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
• Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer.
• Must obtain National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer.
• Must obtain TNCC, ATCN, or TCAR within twelve (12) months of hire or transfer.
• Critical Care Certified Nurse (CCRN) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• The ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
• Bilingual is preferred.
• Must have excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
• Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g., formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer successfully.
• Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
