AdventHealth in Lake Wales, FL is seeking a registered nurse for full-time night shift in the ICU. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and monitor outcomes to ensure safety and quality of care.

Job Description

** Up to $15,000 Sign on Bonus (If Eligible) **

Shift: 7p-7a Nights

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.


• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.


• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.


• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.


• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.


• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).


• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.


• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes. Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.


• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.


• Respond promptly to life‑threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.
