Job summary

Thompson Health's ICU in Canandaigua, NY, seeks an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a full-time position with 36 hours per week. Shifts are 12 hours (Day/Evening/Night) with weekend and holiday responsibilities per department guidelines.

You will work in a modern 12-bed ICU focusing on high-quality, compassionate critical care, ongoing professional growth, and strong teamwork in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• NYS licensed RN required.
• Current CPR/BLS required.
• ACLS within one year.
• CCRN preferred.
• BSN or commitment to complete within 5 years of appointment.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Certification in clinical specialty or willingness to complete when eligible.
• Evidence of cardiac arrhythmia/critical care course within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate using the nursing process.
• Prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care provided to patients.
• Provide patient education and coordinate ancillary activities while upholding nursing standards.

Main Job Function

• Utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care provided to patients.
• Provide patient education & coordinate the activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining the standards of professional nursing practice.

Qualifications

• NYS licensed registered nurse required
• Current CPR/BLS required
• ACLS within one year
• CCRN preferred

Education

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing

• Certification in clinical specialty or willingness to complete when eligible

Position Pay Range: $38.00-50.00
