Job summary

Lambstaffing seeks an experienced RN to join a Charlotte, NC ICU travel rotation. You’ll deliver high‑level critical care to diverse patients, manage ventilators and invasive lines, and respond to rapid changes in condition.

Expect collaboration with a multidisciplinary team across shifts. Requires 2+ years ICU experience, active RN license with BLS/ACLS, NIHSS where applicable, and the ability to float regionally.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ICU experience required.
• Active RN license in good standing with BLS and ACLS.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Willingness to float to multiple facilities within region.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing in ICU with 1:1 to 1:2 patient ratios (day/night).
• Manage Ventilators, lines, medications, and frequent assessments.
• Collaborate with team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses

• Can see any diagnosis except Cardiac Surgical - Sepsis, ARDS, GI Bleeds, DKA, Cardiac Arrest, Withdrawal, Renal Failure, etc.

Patient Ratios

• RN: 1:1-2 (Day & Night)

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance

• RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Skills required

• RN: Critical care gtts experience – insulin, vasopressors, sedation, management of invasive lines (ART/CVP), Cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, ventilator management, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, etc.

Support within the Department

• CNA (Ratios – dependent on census/staffing) – patient care (ADLs/Vitals/Nutrition/Blood sugar checks) and mobility
• No Receptionist/HUC
• Charge nurse
• Clinical Supervisor daily to act as Resource for team
• Phlebotomy, 24/7
• IV/VAT Team, 24/7
• Pharmacist dedicated to unit
• Case Manager x 2 per unit
• MedSurg Clinical Nurse Specialist
• RT 24/7 – will perform Nebulizer treatments
• Nurse Educator
• Hospitalist, 24/7
• Intensivist until 12am and then virtual/on call critical care MD
• No remote Tele Monitoring - Unit Clerk, Charge/Clinical Supervisor and Staff are responsible to read and post every shift

Floating

• Within region and scope of practice

• Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main + CMC Mercy + Levine Children’s Hospital)
• If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
