Job summary

Novant Health's East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, SC seeks an ICU RN for PRN shifts. You will provide direct patient care in a high-acuity unit, working day and night 7-7, under the Dept Director/Charge Nurse.

Requirements include RN licensure in SC, BCLS, PALS, ACLS, and at least two years ICU experience; Bachelor's preferred. The role offers patient-focused care with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN licensure in the appropriate state is required.
• BCLS, PALS and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse, provides direct and/or indirect, safe and effective professional nursing care.
• Assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating health care needs of all patients assigned.
• Provides nursing care to a patient population ranging from infant to geriatric, unless otherwise indicated.
• Works collaboratively with the health care team, is customer focused and strives to meet unit and hospital goals.
• Provides quality nursing care according to established practice standards and guidelines for the area(s) assigned.
• Must be willing/able to float to other (comparable) nursing units, as requested/needed.

What We're Looking For:

Education:

• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.


• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Experience:

• Two Years ICU Experience Required

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.


• Must have current BCLS, PALS and ACLS certifications
