Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a strong background in critical care to join our day shift team. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care.

Requirements include an Associate’s in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), RN licensure, and experience with Cerner EMR or similar systems.

Job Description

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.

• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.

• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
