UK King’s Daughters is seeking a Research RN to conduct trials and ensure patient safety in compliance with FDA/GCP guidelines. You will educate patients, obtain informed consent, and monitor responses across oncology trials in Ashland, KY.
Required is a BSN with RN licensure and 0–2 years in nursing or related research; a MSN is preferred. This full-time role involves collaboration with sponsors, IRB, physicians, and trial staff.

Job Summary: Responsible for conducting research trials for patients while adhering to all applicable FDA regulations and Good Clinical Practice Guidelines. Ensures patient advocacy throughout all decision‑making processes. Accompanies patients during all clinical trial procedures. Coordinates research activities to maintain compliance and support patient safety.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing, research, or a related field. Master’s degree in nursing is preferred.
0-2 years of experience in nursing, or a relevant area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part‑time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Maintains active RN licensure.
Physical Demands: This position requires regular standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; intermittent lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds; intermittent standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; intermittent sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions. Also involves intermittent risk of back injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; intermittent risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; intermittent exposure to cuts or punctures and bloodborne or airborne pathogens; and occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, radiation, burns, temperature extremes, loud noises, working in confined spaces, recombinant DNA or viral vectors, and combative or violent people. Occasional job‑related travel may also be required.
