UK King’s Daughters in Ashland, Kentucky, is seeking motivated nurses for a Nurse Residency Program. You will perform patient care under supervision, collect and analyze data, and formulate care plans to achieve outcomes while promoting a safe practice environment.

Job Summary Responsible for performing patient care under supervision and collecting and analyzing patient data. Formulates individualized care plans and determines progress toward outcomes. Coordinates care delivery and promotes a safe practice environment. Advocates mutual respect with patients, families, employees, and healthcare providers.
Education Requirement Associate’s degree in nursing Bachelor's degree in nursing perferred Experience Requirement No work experience required An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) Provisional license, Basic Life Support (BLS) Based on area assinged: NIH Stroke Scale Certified, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (CPI)
This position requires regular standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; intermittent standing or walking with objects up to 25 pounds; intermittent lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects over 50 pounds; occasional sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing). Also involves some exposure to risk of back injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials.
