Overview

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to inpatients. This position assesses patients and creates a plan of care that is individualized and reflective of each patient\'s needs and goals. The Registered Nurse supervises activities of care, treatment and services of patient provided by LPN/LVNs, RNTs/CNAs, and other staff on the assigned unit and shift. This position communicates information with the interdisciplinary team and reports patient concerns and changes in condition to supervisor and/or physician in a timely manner.

Pay information
Encompass Health provided pay range: This range is provided by Encompass Health. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Base pay range: $39.00/hr - $50.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to inpatients and develop individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and goals.
  • Supervise activities of care, treatment, and services delivered by LPNs/LVNs, RNs, CNAs, and other staff on the unit and shift.
  • Communicate with the interdisciplinary team and report patient concerns and changes in condition to supervisor and/or physician in a timely manner.
Licensure, Certifications & Skills
  • Current RN licensure appropriate to state regulations.
  • BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
  • CRRN certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with English in oral and written communication.
Machines and Equipment
  • General office equipment (computer/laptop, telephone, copier/scanner, etc.).
  • Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Physical Requirements
  • Visual acuity, speech recognition, and speech clarity.
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing at least 30 pounds, including medical supplies and equipment, and to assist with patient transfer and repositioning. Reasonable assistance may be provided for heavier tasks.
Environmental Conditions
  • Indoor, temperature-controlled, smoke-free environment.
  • Handicapped accessible.
  • May work under stressful circumstances at times.
Proficiency and Productivity Standards
  • Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
  • Adherence to dress code and wearing ID badge.
  • Adherence to Standards of Business Conduct.
  • May be required to work varied shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and/or nights to meet deadlines.
  • May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
