Job description

Step into a Registered Nurse House Supervisor opportunity in Los Angeles that combines meaningful patient impact, visible leadership, clinician-supporting technology, professional growth, collaborative decision-making, and an exceptional Southern California lifestyle.

This 350-plus-bed acute care hospital offers the Registered Nurse House Supervisor the scale, clinical diversity, and organizational visibility to make a measurable difference across hospital operations. Comprehensive surgical and cardiovascular services create a dynamic environment for experienced nurses pursuing healthcare leadership jobs, while the hospital’s status as a Certified Primary Stroke Center and STEMI Receiving Center reflects its commitment to responsive, high-acuity care. A diverse workforce serves patients from around the world, giving the Hospital House Supervisor a professionally rewarding opportunity to advance equitable, culturally responsive care within a complex medical center.

Within House Supervisor operations, the Administrator House Supervisor will guide hospital-wide nursing activity while partnering closely with Bed Control, the Float Pool, and the Staffing Office. The role supports patient placement, staffing allocation, throughput, emergency response, and operational continuity across a busy acute care campus. Comprehensive surgical and cardiovascular programs, stroke care, and STEMI services create varied clinical demands that call for sound judgment and calm leadership. Located in an excellent Los Angeles setting with convenient Metro access, this 350-plus-bed hospital provides the Bed Control and Float Pool Manager with broad exposure to nursing operations, staffing strategy, and interdisciplinary care delivery.

The Registered Nurse House Supervisor will collaborate with nursing administration and clinical leaders to coordinate safe staffing, address emerging operational needs, support frontline teams, and maintain continuity across departments and shifts. Daily responsibilities may include assessing census and acuity, facilitating admissions and transfers, resolving staffing gaps, supporting escalation pathways, reinforcing regulatory and patient-safety standards, and responding to urgent clinical or operational concerns. The Hospital House Supervisor will work alongside nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, therapists, technicians, case management, social work, and support departments so that barriers are addressed quickly and patient care continues efficiently.

For an experienced acute care nurse, this Registered Nurse House Supervisor position represents a meaningful progression into broader healthcare management. Hospital-wide exposure can strengthen expertise in workforce planning, patient flow, quality improvement, regulatory readiness, conflict resolution, and executive-level communication. The Administrator House Supervisor will also be positioned to mentor emerging leaders, contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives, support staff development, and build experience relevant to future nursing administration or hospital operations roles. The opportunity is especially compelling for a leader who values professional autonomy, visible impact, thoughtful staffing decisions, and technology-enabled workflows that enhance rather than replace clinical judgment.

Living and working as a Hospital House Supervisor in Southern California places world-class healthcare careers within reach of beaches, mountain trails, museums, acclaimed restaurants, live entertainment, and major professional sports. Los Angeles offers extraordinary cultural diversity, extensive air travel connections, and convenient weekend access to destinations throughout Southern California. The region’s cost of living requires thoughtful planning, but this medical center’s Metro access can provide a practical commuting alternative. In 2026, Los Angeles will also be one of the host regions for the FIFA World Cup, adding international energy to an already globally connected city.

This Registered Nurse House Supervisor opportunity offers compensation of up to $208,000 annually plus benefits, creating a strong total-rewards proposition for an experienced nurse ready to lead hospital-wide operations.
