You will oversee operations for a large hospital facility, coordinating with ICU and ED leadership to uphold high patient care and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a hospital setting.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (current).
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required.
• No first-time travelers; travelers must be beyond 75 miles from the facility.
• Shift flexibility including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations for a 311+ bed facility, including ED, Birthplace, Surgical Services, 14 med-surg units and a 20-bed ICU.
• Supervise nursing staff across units and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Collaborate with ICU charge nurses, providers, and off-shift nurse managers to maintain patient safety and care quality.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and lead in code management and infection control.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a House Supervisor in Rochester, New York. This is a travel/contract position with guaranteed 40 hours per week and an 8-hour day shift schedule (5 shifts per week). Shifts may include 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, or 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekends and holidays as needed. As the House Supervisor, you will oversee operations for a 311+ bed facility, including the Emergency Department, Family Birthplace, Surgical Services, 14 medical-surgical units, and a 20-bed ICU. You will collaborate with ICU charge nurses, providers, and off-shift nurse managers to ensure seamless operations, contributing to a high standard of patient care and workplace safety. This role requires a candidate with strong leadership and crisis management skills, as well as expertise in code management, infection control, and risk management. The position involves supervising nursing care across units, managing staffing requirements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of experience, current ACLS and BLS certifications, and proficiency in EPIC EMR. This role does not accept first-time travelers or locals within 75 miles.
