Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Hospice (In-Home)

Location: Owosso, MI

Shift Type: Afternoons

Shift Times: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Hourly Pay Range: $31.91 - $45.94 (dependent on experience)

Position Overview

This is an in-home hospice nursing role. The RN will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families, focusing on comfort and quality of life in their homes. The nurse will work independently and collaborate with a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Complete comprehensive physical, psychological, and social assessments upon admission

Develop individualized care plans and update regularly based on patient needs

Deliver high-quality hospice care in accordance with nursing standards and regulations

Offer emotional, spiritual, and educational support to patients and their families

Monitor patient symptoms and status changes; implement appropriate interventions

Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care

Provide medication management, wound care, and symptom relief as needed

Document all assessments, interventions, and communications promptly and accurately

Maintain infection control and safety protocols

Educate patients and families on condition management and end-of-life processes

Serve as a leader and mentor to hospice aides and support staff

Ideal Candidate

Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Michigan

Previous Hospice Or Palliative Care Experience Strongly Preferred

Strong clinical judgment and independent decision-making skills

Compassionate communicator with patients and families

Comfortable driving and working in a home care setting

Flexible, reliable, and able to handle emotional demands of hospice care
