Texas Health Resources is hiring a Registered Nurse for Hematology/Oncology at Texas Health Dallas. The role is Full Time Nights (7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays, delivering high-quality patient care in a 30-bed Med/Surg Hematology/Oncology unit.

Qualifications include an Associate degree or diploma in nursing, BSN preferred, and RN residency or 1 year of RN experience. Certifications such as BCLS, CPI and specialty certifications are encouraged.

• Associate degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program is required.

Education

Work hours: Full Time Nights (7p-7a) rotating weekend and holiday requirements

Med Surg Hematology/Oncology highlights:

• 30 Bed inpatient Hematology/ Oncology Medical Surgical Department
• THD pays for Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification

Here's What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program Completion
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req And
• CRRN - Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse Upon Hire Pref Or
• CNRN - Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse Upon Hire Pref Or
• ONC - Orthopedic Nurse Certified Upon Hire Pref Or
• Other Certification in area of specialty Upon Hire Pref

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
