Job summary

Kettering Health Network in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse to support physicians in procedures, prepare patients, record histories, and manage exam rooms. You will take vital signs and handle telephone communications as directed.

Requirements include an active Ohio RN license, ADN or equivalent (BSN preferred), ACLS and CPR certification, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred candidates have prior nursing experience and Epic training.

Responsibilities & Requirements

The Registered Nurse is responsible for:

• Prepares patients and examination rooms, taking initial medical history for the chart, taking vital signs.
• Assist physician in special procedures, including minor surgery as required.
• Receive and handle phones calls as directed by physician.
• Accountable for his/her own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law.
• Any other duties relating to the business operation of the medical practice that may be assigned by the physician(s) or practice office manager.

Requirements

• Current RN license in State of Ohio.
• ADN (or equivalent experience) required but BSN preferred.
• Must be ACLS and CPR certified.
• Excellent communication and teaming skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous nursing experience preferred.
• Epic training/knowledge experience preferred.
