Job summary

Northstar Behavioral Health MN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the RN Health Educator position. The role involves delivering and documenting nursing services, including staff education and medication administration training. Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing, the RN will also coordinate intakes and manage care plans.

Eligible candidates must be licensed in Minnesota, with a minimum of two years free from chemical use problems. Strong computer skills and CPR certification are also required for this comprehensive health education role.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the State of Minnesota as a Registered Nurse.
• Must have two years of freedom from chemical use problems.
• Must pass a State of Minnesota Background Check.
• CPR Certification or attain within 30 days.
• Ability to use Microsoft office programs and other computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Executive Director of Nursing.
• Works with DON to create Health Education Curriculum for staff.
• Responsible for working with Treatment Director on scheduling of groups.
• Works as floor nurse 25% of the time and as needed.
