Qualifications

• RN license required and maintained.
• ACLS, BCLS and PALS certifications required or obtainable within stated timelines.
• NIH Stroke Scale, Trauma Nursing Core Course and Crisis Intervention certifications must be pursued within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient pain for effective relief and regular reassessment.
• Document care administration in the medical record promptly and accurately.
• Respond to patient requests and provide proactive, exceptional care.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up.
• Advise on non-medical follow-up measures such as diet, exercise and lifestyle changes.
