Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, competent nursing care and professional leadership in a patient-centered care environment. You will support the healthcare team, ensure safety, and uphold our standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain throughout employment.
• Current state nursing license in Texas.
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire; ongoing competency demonstrations as determined by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates an age-appropriate plan of care using the nursing process, clinical skills, and patient education.
• Maintains professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources as needed.
• Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, families, visitors, and employees.
• Assesses risks to patient safety and implements appropriate precautions.
• Complies with organization and accrediting standards and safety policies.
• Adheres to patient-centered care delivery models to guide nursing care.
