Job summary

Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma seeks dedicated nurses to deliver trauma-sensitive, patient-centered care in crisis settings. You will perform assessments, develop individualized plans, educate patients, manage cases, and administer medications within state regulations.

Various Level positions (I–III) offer full-time roles with 12-hour shifts and overtime, plus a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay in the ODMHSAS system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Nursing with OK RN license or eNLC recognition and 1+ year nursing experience (Level III).
• Bachelor’s in Nursing with OK RN license or eNLC recognition with 1 year experience (Level II).

We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide high-quality, trauma-sensitive, person-centered, and recovery-oriented care to those in crisis. As part of our team, you will be responsible for offering direct or indirect nursing services, including:

Job Type/Salary:

• 12 Hour Shifts Available: (AM Shift: 6:30AM-7:00PM or PM Shift: 6:30pm - 7:00AM)
• • Level III: $76,500/$36.78hourly
  • Level II: $72,500/$34.86hourly
  • Level I: $70,000/$33.65 hourly
• PLUS StackingShift Differentials:$3.00 for evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Total Compensation Package: $71,000-$91,000, depending on number of covered dependents
• Non-Exempt - OT Available!

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Level III– Bachelor’s in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the eNLCand one year of professional nursing experience OR Associate in Nursing and two years of professional nursing experience
• Level II– Bachelor’s in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the eNLCOR Associate in Nursing and one year of professional nursing experience
• Level I– Associate in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the eNLC.

Note: eNLC refers to the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.If the applicant has an out of state license with eNLC, s/he cannot be in a position that bills.

Special Requirements:

• Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
• Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.

Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as a Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults. Griffin Memorial Hospital is a 120-bed acute psychiatric hospital serving persons aged 18 and over with severe mental illness and provides in-patient hospital care for those in need of mental health & substance abuse services.
