Job summary

Medical City Plano is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to support preoperative and intraoperative care. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure in Texas, ACLS/BLS within 30 days, and prior acute care experience in GI Lab, Endoscopy, or Surgical Services. On-site scheduling and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Current RN license or license eligible in Texas.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required within 30 days of start date.
• Experience in acute hospital settings, GI Lab, Endoscopy or Surgical Services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients pre-operatively and educate patients and families about procedures.
• Assist with preoperative medication administration and site verification.
• Participate in universal protocols (briefing, time-out, debriefing) and patient safety.
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care and support continuous improvement in the OR.
• Deliver nursing care using critical thinking and clinical judgment in a dynamic team.
