Inova Loudoun Surgery Center is currently hiring a PRN experienced GI/Endo Registered Nurse (RN) to become an integral member of our team, delivering unparalleled care to our patients.

Work Schedule

• Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays
  
  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Pre-Procedure Care : Educate patients about the procedure, review medical histories, check vital signs, and assess readiness for the procedure
• Intra-Procedure Assistance: Support the physician with equipment setup, specimen collection, and monitoring the patient’s vitals and comfort during the procedure. Ensure all endoscopic equipment is sterile and functioning properly
• Post-Procedure Recovery: Monitor patients as they recover from sedation, provide post-procedure instructions, and address any concerns. Ensure patient stability before discharge
• Patient Education and Documentation: Educate patients on post-procedure care, document patient status accurately, and report any changes or complications
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year intra-op experience in endoscopy/gastroenterology, or a related field
• Strong understanding of endoscopic equipment, patient monitoring, and sedation protocols
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or possession of an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon start
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional patient communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
