Job summary

Seaside Health System seeks a Registered Nurse for our Geriatric Psychiatry unit in Louisiana on a day shift. You will deliver direct, patient-centered care to older adults with mental health needs, collaborating with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities include assessment, medication management, care plan development, documentation, and communicating with families and providers. Louisiana RN licensure, 1 year in med-surg or geriatric psychiatry, and a BSN are required.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Louisiana.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in med surg and/or geriatric psychiatry or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required.

• Provide direct patient care to older adult patients with mental health needs, including assessment, medication management, and treatment planning.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate and detailed records.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in geriatric psychiatry.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
