Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• BLS and ACLS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• 2 year or greater of Charge nurse experience.

What you will do

• A Registered Nurse who possesses the clinical skills that allow for appropriate assessment of patient care needs and demonstrates accountability in coordinating age specific patient care.
• Serves as a clinical resources for staff on their assigned shift or unit.
• Coordinates patient care and delegates duties and responsibilities to staff and holds individuals accountable for outcomes achieved
• First line supervisor over a group of employees or a unit.
• May initiate disciplinary action and provide input into a subordinate’s performance evaluations. Instructs workers in normal operational tasks. Includes department managers of small departments.
