Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process, adhering to nursing standards.
  • Perform patient assessments and develop care plans, including discharge planning.
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately, document care accurately, and coordinate education for patients and families.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and operate equipment per policies.
  • Assist physicians with treatments, procedures, and tests.
  • Participate in Nursing Governance activities and support staff education and development.
  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
  • Current Massachusetts nursing license and registration.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred or required based on unit.
Physical Demands and Environment:

Work is considered medium intensity, primarily indoors in a patient care environment.
