Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the General Medical unit (days). The role focuses on coordinating and delivering quality nursing care to adult patients needing medical care, without telemetry or progressive care.

You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, delegate and supervise, and communicate pertinent patient information to the health care team.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Six months RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Uses the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
• Maintains documentation and contributes to care plan updates as needed.

Unit: General Medical unit;No telemetry, not progressive care. Takes adult patients needing medical care.

• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Six months RN experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
