Registered Nurse Supervisor, RN Summary

Waterview Hills Campus hosts Waterview Hills and Salem Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare: two facilities committed to outstanding Subacute Rehab and Long-Term Skilled Nursing Care, offering the best rehab and nursing care after hospital discharge.

Responsibilities

• Organize, oversee, and supervise assigned unit activities and staff, demonstrating clinical expertise aligned with Nursing Practice standards.
• Identify and respond promptly to patient needs.
• Monitor, observe, and document vital signs, treatments, and patient responses.
• Administer medications and treatments as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and medical staff regarding ongoing services, plans, concerns, or information.
• Follow disciplinary policies when necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and service vendors.
• Perform RN assessments after incidents or when conditions change.
• Lead and manage emergency situations such as fire alarms or elopements.
• Maintain accurate nursing reports, staffing sheets, and census rosters.

Requirements

• Current and valid RN license in the State of New York.
• Experience with geriatric, short-term rehab, or Alzheimer's patients is preferred.
• Progressive nursing experience in a geriatric setting; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care.
• Interest in assisting residents who are ill, injured, disabled, or emotionally upset, including challenging residents.
• Patience and willingness to assist residents and co-workers.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, flexibility, and team harmony.
• COVID-19 vaccinations encouraged but not mandatory; vaccination offered based on CDC guidelines.
