Registered Nurse Supervisor, RN Summary

Waterview Hills Campus is home to Waterview Hills and Salem Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare: Two facilities committed to providing outstanding Subacute Rehab and Long-Term Skilled Nursing Care. Together, these facilities offer patients the best rehab and nursing care they can obtain after their hospital discharge.

Responsibilities:

• Organizes, oversees, & supervises assigned unit activities & staff assignments & demonstrates clinical expertise consistent with established standards of Nursing Practice.
• Identifies & responds appropriately & timely to patient needs.
• Monitors, observes, & documents vital signs, treatments administered, & patient responses.
• Administers medications & treatments as needed.
• Communicates and directs services ongoing or any plan/concerns/information to appropriate team members, resident, family, or medical staff as needed.
• Identifies & follows disciplinary action as stated in policy.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team, physicians, & other vendors'/services.
• Performs RN assessment to resident's post incidents or change in condition.
• Leads & directs emergency situations (Fire alarm, Elopement, etc.).
• Maintains accurate nursing report, staffing sheets, & census roster.

Requirements:

• Current & good standing RN License in State of New York.
• Previous experience with geriatric/short term rehabilitation/Alzheimer's patients is desirable.
• Progressive Nursing experience in a geriatric setting. Supervisory experience preferred.
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident.
• Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents.
• Have patience & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers.
• Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, & organization skills.
• Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff.
