The Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced environment. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring adherence to standards and promoting a safe, therapeutic environment.
Communicate clearly with patients and team members, build collaborative relationships, ensure accurate documentation, administer medications and IV therapies safely, and support patient and family education. They are accountable for their performance, seek professional growth, and contribute to team success.
Must have a nursing degree from an accredited school, a valid license to practice in Texas, and Basic Life Support certification. Preferred candidates have at least 12 months of relevant experience or have completed a Nurse Residency Program. Knowledge of hospital policies, excellent communication, teamwork, and a compassionate approach are essential.
Maintain safety standards, manage confidential information, utilize the nursing process, and adapt care to age-specific needs. Physical demands include mobility, handling equipment, and exposure to hazards like blood and body fluids.
Predominantly indoor, with exposure to various hazards and environmental conditions typical of a healthcare setting. The role involves significant communication, manual handling, and attention to detail to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
