Role Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides high-quality, patient-centered care within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team. They perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based practices to ensure safe and effective outcomes. The RN partners with patients and families, fostering relationship-based care that respects cultural diversity and patient goals. They coordinate care delivery, document accurately, and support performance improvement initiatives to enhance safety and quality. The role involves mentoring colleagues, promoting research, and adhering to organizational policies and standards, including regulatory and accreditation requirements. The RN is expected to proactively plan patient care across the continuum, participate in protocol development, and optimize resource utilization. Qualifications & Skills
