Job summary

Trinity Health Waterbury is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join the wound care team. You will assess, treat, and educate patients with complex wounds, develop personalized care plans, and monitor healing progress.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited BSN, CT RN licensure, BLS certification, and has experience in acute or medical-surgical settings. This full-time role offers a day shift and collaborative, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with RN licensure in Connecticut.
• BSN degree preferred; BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required.
• Experience in wound care or related clinical areas is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and educate patients with complex wounds and monitor healing progress.

Description:

pecializes in assessing, treating, and educating patients with complex wounds, such as pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds, burns, and skin tears, by developing personalized care plans, cleaning wounds, applying appropriate dressings, monitoring healing progress, and providing patient education on wound care management to promote optimal healing and prevent complications;they often collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
• Licensure: Current Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut
• Certification: BLS (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience: Acute care, Medical-Surgical, Wound Care

Work Schedule

Full Time, 32-hours, Day Shift

Monday -Friday 8 am to 4:30
