Job summary

The Recovery Village Indianapolis is seeking a Registered Nurse to support addiction treatment services in a 71-bed facility with Detox, Residential, and IOP services. This is a FT days role with 3/12-hour shifts and a starting pay of $41/hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include nursing care, medication administration, documenting per licensure standards, and collaboration with the facility leadership team to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• RN license active in state of licensure.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission documentation within required timeframes after admission to the program; Maintains medical records.
• Administer medications as indicated and monitor detoxification process.
• Transcribe Physician orders and implement all Medical Protocols as ordered.
• Confer with and assist medical personnel, both internal and external resources.
• Provide documentation reflecting services for each patient per licensure standards.
• Assess the medical and psychiatric needs of the patient, determine urgency, and expedite treatment as required.
• Educate patients about medications, health issues and medical conditions.
• Demonstrate ability to take verbal orders from medical provider and carry them out accurately.
• Provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

We work with health care providers, organizations and individuals to connect those in need to life-saving addiction treatment and mental health support that repairs lives, families and the surrounding communities.

The Recovery Village Indianapolis (RVI) is an addiction treatment center with a continuum of care for anyone struggling with substance use disorders. 71 beds, 15 beds for Detox, 34 beds for Residential, and 22 beds for Partial Hospitalization Program/Intensive Outpatient Treatment.

The Registered Nurse performs a wide variety of job duties during a shift, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions. Establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families are key elements of this position. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:

Job Duties

• Ability to complete appropriate documents within the required timeframe after admission to the program. Maintains medical records.

• Ability to confer with and assist medical personnel, both internal and external resources.

• Ability to assess the medical and psychiatric needs of the patient determine the urgency of their needs and expedite treatment is required.
• Ability to effectively communicate concerns about patient health to appropriate personnel and follows up as necessary.
• Ability to educate patients about medications, health issues and medical conditions.
• Demonstrates ability to take verbal orders from the medical provider, documents them in the patient record and carries them out accurately and professionally.
• Demonstrates ability to provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Schedule: 3/12-hour shifts

Urgently Hiring: FT Days (7a -7p)

• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum two years' experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.
