The Recovery Village Indianapolis is seeking a Registered Nurse in Addiction for a full-time day shift (7a–7p). Starting pay is $41/hr based on experience. The RN will care for and educate patients with medical and psychiatric needs and work with the leadership team to ensure facility success.

Minimum two years' RN experience, behavioral health background preferred. Licensure in state of practice required. Various benefits and opportunities are described in the employment package.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum two years' experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete documents within required timeframe after admission to the program.
• Maintain medical records.
• Administer medications and monitor detoxification.
• Transcribe physician orders and implement medical protocols as ordered.
• Consult with medical personnel and other resources.
• Provide documentation reflecting services for each patient.
• Assess medical and psychiatric needs and expedite treatment as required.
• Communicate health concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Educate patients about medications and health issues.
• Take verbal orders from the medical provider and carry them out accurately.
• Provide routine nursing care under the Director of Nursing.

We work with health care providers, organizations and individuals to connect those in need to life‑saving addiction treatment and mental health support that repairs lives, families and the surrounding communities.

The Recovery Village Indianapolis (RVI) is an addiction treatment center with a continuum of care for anyone struggling with substance use disorders. 71 beds, 15 beds for Detox, 34 beds for Residential, and 22 beds for Partial Hospitalization Program/Intensive Outpatient Treatment. The Registered Nurse performs a wide variety of job duties during a shift, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions. Establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families are key elements of this position. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:

• Ability to complete appropriate documents within the required timeframe after admission to the program.
• Maintains medical records.
• Ability to administer medications as indicated and monitor detoxification process.
• Ability to transcribe Physician orders and implement all Medical Protocols as ordered.
• Ability to confer with and assist medical personnel, both internal and external resources.
• Ability to provide documentation which reflects services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards.
• Ability to assess the medical and psychiatric needs of the patient determine the urgency of their needs and expedite treatment is required.
• Ability to effectively communicate concerns about patient health to appropriate personnel and follows up as necessary.
• Ability to educate patients about medications, health issues and medical conditions.
• Demonstrates ability to take verbal orders from the medical provider, documents them in the patient record and carries them out accurately and professionally.
• Demonstrates ability to provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
