Job summary

The Recovery Village Indianapolis is seeking a Registered Nurse in Addiction to join our PRN days and nights team. The RN will provide detox and addiction care, document medical records, administer medications, and educate patients as part of a compassionate care team.

This role offers 12-hour shifts with a starting rate of $41/hour and a $3.00 Night Shift Differential. Behavioral health experience is preferred, and Indiana RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• RN license in Indiana in good standing.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain medical records within required timeframes after admission.
• Administer medications and monitor detoxification process.
• Transcribe physician orders and implement medical protocols.
• Confer with medical personnel and other resources as needed.
• Provide documentation reflecting services for each patient per licensure standards.
• Assess medical and psychiatric needs and expedite treatment as required.
• Communicate health concerns to appropriate personnel and follow up.

We work with health care providers, organizations and individuals to connect those in need to life-saving addiction treatment and mental health support that repairs lives, families and the surrounding communities.

The Recovery Village Indianapolis (RVI) is an addiction treatment center with a continuum of care for anyone struggling with substance use disorders. 71 beds, 15 beds for Detox, 34 beds for Residential, and 22 beds for Partial Hospitalization Program/Intensive Outpatient Treatment.

The Registered Nurse performs a wide variety of job duties during a shift, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions. Establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families are key elements of this position. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:

Job Duties

• Ability to complete appropriate documents within the required timeframe after admission to the program. Maintains medical records.
• Ability to administer medications as indicated and monitor detoxification process.
• Ability to transcribe Physician orders and implement all Medical Protocols as ordered.
• Ability to confer with and assist medical personnel, both internal and external resources.
• Ability to provide documentation which reflects services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards.
• Ability to assess the medical and psychiatric needs of the patient determine the urgency of their needs and expedite treatment is required.
• Ability to effectively communicate concerns about patient health to appropriate personnel and follows up as necessary.
• Ability to educate patients about medications, health issues and medical conditions.
• Demonstrates ability to take verbal orders from the medical provider, documents them in the patient record and carries them out accurately and professionally.
• Demonstrates ability to provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

12-hour shifts

Urgently Hiring:

• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum two years' experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.
